Trinity Mirror Solutions Invention team has launched the Smart Energy GB campaign today communicating the roll-out of smart energy meters in UK households
Trinity Mirror Solutions Invention team has launched a campaign communicating the rollout of smart energy meters in UK households by Smart Energy GB.
The ‘Knowledge is Power’ campaign will run for ten months across Trinity Mirror’s national and regional portfolio, including the Daily Mirror, Daily Record, Manchester Evening News and Liverpool Echo.
The campaign will be tapping into subject matters our audience are most interested in, whether that's sporting events, TV or celebrities across print and online. Content will highlight the absurdity of estimation, which is the crux of the Smart Meter campaign, and educate people on the benefits of having a smart energy meter in their homes.
Today's campaign taps into an audience favourite - transfer deadline day. The moral of the story? Whether it’s a football transfer or an energy bill, if you’re relying on an estimate you won’t get an accurate result.
Telegraph Media Group is also on board with the partnership and will be spreading the message across some of its portfolio.
Mark Field, Director of Invention at Trinity Mirror Solutions, said: “We know from talking to our modern mass-market audience – or Modal Britain as we call it – that there is a big appetite for saving money on energy bills. The campaign was therefore something that aligned with our editorial news agenda and can provide genuine value for our readers.
“People are no longer connecting with only a single newsbrand during the course of the average day thanks to the freedom afforded by digital. In response, we’re embracing collaboration with other publishers, ensuring our clients’ messages truly hit home across a variety of channels.”
