The Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards took place on Monday night with a host of famous faces turning out to honour the nation’s unsung heroes. The event, run by Trinity Mirror Solutions' event team Experience, was sponsored by Lidl and marked its 17th year with a star-studded gala at the Grosvenor House on London's Park Lane.
Celebrities including David Beckham, Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Sir Ian McKellan, Boris Johnson, Little Mix and stars from the rugby, the British Olympic team and Strictly Come Dancing were among those who took to the stage to present Pride of Britain Awards to those who have displayed courage, selflessness and achievement against the odds.

The winners followed up the event on Monday night with breakfast at 10 Downing Street on Tuesday morning where they met Samantha Cameron.
The Pride of Britain Awards will be broadcast on ITV at 8pm, Thursday 1 October in a two hour special.
