We’re speculatively clearing room in the trophy cabinet as Trinity Mirror has been nominated for six gongs at this year’s prestigious British Media Awards.
The Trinity Mirror Solutions team has been shortlisted for two awards - Commercial Campaign of the Year for ‘Pension Square’ and Event of the Year for ‘The Pride of... Event Series’.
Pension Square was our response to a brief from the Department of Work and Pensions to help communicate its auto-enrolment programme. See an example of some of the great work we generated here pensionsquare.co.uk
The ‘Pride of...’ event series is an extension of the hugely successful Pride of Britain Awards across Trinity Mirror’s portfolio, including the Birmingham Mail and Irish Daily Mirror.
But it’s not just the Trinity Mirror Solutions team that’s celebrating, Mirror.co.uk is up for ‘Website of the Year’ and our fantastic editorial team behind the website is also shortlisted for ‘Content Team of Year’ after a strong year of growth in 2014.
Plus, Heather Bowen, Head of Social Media at the Mirror, is nominated for the Rising Star Award. Heather oversaw an exceptional year of social growth for the Mirror on Facebook, from 1.5 million interactions in January to a 12.6 million peak in November. Topping off the nominations is a shortlisting for ‘Marketing Team of the Year’.
The British Media Awards judges look for innovation and excellence across the entire media industry so it’s fantastic to be shortlisted, especially when our nominations sit alongside those for established and prestigious media brands such as BBC Worldwide, Bauer Media, EMAP, Guardian and Haymarket.
The winners will be revealed on 6 May and our fingers will remain crossed until then!
